Terms and Conditions
English law shall govern these terms and conditions. Parties
shall submit to the jurisdiction of the Courts of England & Wales
When attending a motorcycle or scooter training course
please remember the following:
Eyesight
Prior to the commencement of training you will be required to pass an
eye sight test. If you wear glasses or contact lenses, please remember
to have them with you. You must be able to read a car number plate at
67' or 20.5 metres.
Training machines
If you are using a motorcycle or scooter other than the one provided by
Bike2Bike Motorcycle Training please ensure that you have a current insurance
certificate, a valid MoT certificate (if applicable), full sized L plates
displayed front and rear, valid road fund licence (tax disc) and the vehicle
is road legal and mechanically sound. If you are taking a motorcycle test
then it must have a MPH speedo (no stickers or overlays), that it has
a Restriction Certificate where applicable (Aprilla RS125 & Honda
NSR 125's) etc, and is suitable for the test you wish to take, i.e., (A1,
A2 etc). In short the responsibility for ensuring that your bike is suitable
and eligible for test is yours.
Accidental Damage
Should you be unfortunate enough to damage one of the training machines
provided by Bike2Bike Motorcycle Training then you would be liable to
pay for the first £150.00 towards any repairs.
Clothing
Please wear suitable clothing, i.e., gloves, long trousers, a strong jacket
and sturdy boots. A supply of safety helmets, waterproofs and gloves are
available on request however you may wear your own if you wish.
Payment
All balances are due on or before the first day of training by either
cash, cheque, debit or credit card. Please note that there is a standard
2.5% additional charge for the use of Credit cards.
Documentation
You must produce the following for all CBT courses; a valid UK full or
provisional licence. If the licence is a photo card licence you must also
bring the paper part of the licence.
For all post CBT courses and the Theory and Motorcycle test you must bring
both parts of your licence, CBT certificate (DL196), Theory test pass
certificate, and photographic ID (which can include the photo part of
a driving licence). The Driving Standards Agency (DSA) will not accept
anything other than an original, complete and legible UK licence - again
there are no exceptions to this.
Please bring your confirmation letter (this letter).
For all courses (except CBT) we must have details of your Driver number
at least one week before the start of the course. We cannot organise your
Motorcycle/Theory test without it and you will be liable for the test
fee if we are unable to notifying the DSA in time with your details.
If you are taking a practical test please ensure that your Driving Licence
has your current address. If you have recently moved address please write
your new address details onto the licence. This is because your licence
will be retained by the DSA when you have passed your test.
Course Timings
Please arrive in plenty of time to allow the course to start at the correct
time. If you are later than the notified start time then the course will
start without you, and in the case of the CBT you will have lost you course
fees.
Cancellation
Should you wish to cancel or change the date of your appointment we require
the following notice:
- Motorcycle tests - 12 working days notice.
- CBT and Theory Test - 5 working days notice.
- All other training courses - 12 working days notice.
If the above notice is not given a loss of course fee
or a cancellation fee will be incurred (at the discretion of Bike2Bike
Motorcycle Training). Please note that once any part of a course is started
then no refund will be given. Where a course has been made up of a number
of separate days once any part has been started then no refund will be
given for the entirety of the days booked. This means if you have booked
more than one day then once you have started the first day there is no
refund for the following days. In the event that a course is cancelled
in adequate time and a refund is due then a £50.00 administration
fee will be charged. In the event that you are ill we require a doctor's
certificate.
Safety
Bike2Bike Motorcycle Training will endeavour to make your training as
safe and enjoyable as possible. However, there is always a small element
of risk in connection with the use of any motor vehicle, which cannot
be totally eliminated. Unlike a car, your instructor can have no direct
control over your vehicle and ultimately it is your responsibility to
ride safely. With this in mind you must comply with the following:
- Ensure that you are, and remain, fit to train. Only
you know your physical and mental condition.
- You must not be over tired, injured, or suffering from
any ailment, which could affect your riding.
- You must not have taken any drugs, including alcohol,
which may affect your ability to ride.
- You must inform your instructor if there are any problems
in this respect or if any occur during the day.
- You must ensure that you have adequate breaks, drinks
and food and that you are properly clothed.
- Only you will know if you are fit to continue.
